Uncanny X-Men #120
Vindicator has returned to bring in Wolverine and he has brought back-up that is far more interesting than he is.
Since when nas Captain Boomerang worked for the Canadian Government?
The X-Men split up after Sasquatch of Alpha Flight brings down their plane in a conveniently empty corner of the airport.

Probably Sasquatch too, considering how happy he was flirting with men as Wanda.

*And by that we obviously mean alive. He can't work for us if he's dead.

Cunningly disguised as then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, no less!

Also, the "The way to use the element of surprise is to blast through the ceiling where they're not then casually walk into the store they're in" is hilarious. Doubly so that's followed by "do nothing, get my ass handed to me instantly, fly back out through ceiling hole".

Heather started off as Vindicator when she finally assumed a superpowered role, and eventually became Guardian.

Or something.

Like, best case scenario, you bring him back and he escapes the second you leave the screen door open. The worst case version he does it and you all have several bloody holes in you.
(There's a What If that suggests they actually needed Wolverine for a specific mission involving the Negative Zone, but that's obviously not in continuity or applicable).

What are they doing up here, anyway?

Coming back from Japan, but Alpha Flight whips up a massive (and we mean massive) snowstorm to lure the X-Men to an airport where they can capture Wolverine.
This does result in a massive out of control snowstorm, but hey.

Y'know, I always wondered what would happen if Storm encountered someone/something else that could control the weather, and now I know.
She goes shopping.
