Would love to see a story in which Kraven the Hunter pursues Frank in order to give him a stern talking-to about responsible hunting and preservation of natural ecosystems.

Art Adams' (Adams's? Cursed apostrophes...) art is really odd here.
Lot of people looking like teenagers. Mostly Sue and De'lila.

Two teams of heroes, some Skrulls, the Mole Man, a Kaiju couple and their adopted murderbot. I do love a five-sided standoff.

Also, the idea that the Punisher would ever opt to not do some gratuitous killing just because there were some heroes present solving the problem is the least believable thing ever.

I figure he just thinks those resources can be put to better use elsewhere. He focuses more on street-level villainy, after all, right?

There's actually a story behind the Punisher cameo.

The entire point of the "new Fantastic Four" was a bit of a stunt. Walt needed to take a break, so they decided to do an arc with use the most popular Marvel characters at the time and get Art Adams to draw it.

So they looked at the sales and determined that the new FFs would be Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider... and Punisher.

Except Art didn't like the Punisher as a hero. So they swapped in Hulk and threw Frank in as an in-joke:
