Into the Unbeing #4 is three coming to conclusions.

Issue #3'd ended on one of them, Selva the Entomologist, landing on her feet.

She lay at the termination of her fall, her legs broken. She was somewhere in the abdomen of what she and her two fellows'd climbed into - what the three of them vaguely understood as a giant's body, a gigantic corpse into which their colleague and leader Hildur'd vanished.

The other two, Abby and Zara (plus Hildur's dog Galko), looked down the hole that'd opened under Selva.

Down went Abby, the Surveyor.

Zara went first - there was a surge of much less acidic liquid from above that washed her down and carried along Abby and Selva, through a flow that stung and burned without devouring.

" Were we just.. digested? " Zara wondered when they washed up in a spot that occasioned the question.

Galko interrupted the strange cleanness of Selva's injury with a find.

They came upon a dry enough place to make camp at.

" .. like she's fighting off an infection. "

" .. Perfectly normal given what happened. Well, kinda..

" What are you saying? "

(Zara here can be reconciled with what she nearly did in #2 when you remember that everyone grants themselves an inherent virtue they'd never as easily give to others.)

Abby turned away: " I need a moment. "

' The rain.. ' began the use of the same " first-person page of text " device from the past three issues - as with Hildur in #1, the issue's focus character was the writer.

Abby's story was a storm she'd lived through in 2006.

' .. I saw God. '

She'd seen a giant ignorant of her and been ' failed by everything built to keep [her] afloat. '

She'd joined S.I.N.E.W. to redress that.

' We bought time for the planet..

' .. and they called us terrorists. '

Her memories were in sleep she'd fallen into - she woke up later and found Zara examining rocks nearby.

Zara the Geologist was figuring that the erosion on the rocks was characteristic of water - working out a lead to follow to an end.

Abby, marked by the body she was in, went back to Selva who'd been marked by the body she was in.

" You've got three days of food and water. "

Selva lunged at her.

" Stop. "

Ahead, Galko found Hildur's scent - and someone else.

" Evenin to thee'. "

The issue ended on the equally matter-of-fact reveal of Hildur.
