Calvin the pollster

In the recent post-U.S. election thread, I made the claim that polls are b.s. But maybe the problem is that they don't focus on the right issues. Like homework. Or bedtime. Or choice of mom as running mate.
Enter Calvin, not-so-professional pollster, who strove to impress upon his dad the importance of considering his image, character, and degree of permissiveness in his "campaign" to remain dad.

Sometimes Calvin branched out into the field of image consulting.

I love the dad's face in that first panel. Heehee.
At other times, Calvin entered the field of investigative journalism.

Something tells me the dad needs to work on his approval rating amongst married women.

While Calvin's dad usually indulged his son's fascination with polls, sometimes he just wasn't in the mood and simply told him the hard truth that polls don't matter. Which brings this post full circle, doesn't it?

(The tiger vote's harder to get than the leopard vote, but all leopards ever want from elections is the same thing, and there's inevitably talk on both sides of undelivered promises.)
