I remember as a kid thinking that this was so awesome.

I still kinda do.

Lets be honest.

Doom was just looking for an excuse to strip.

"Look at me, Ma! No scars!"

Have to say, this really was a big fun twist and makes sense Doom puts his mind into a virtually indestructible body.
