Also, a Steve explicitly deferring to others is a little more novel than it should be - that's not to say he's been the opposite of that, but he has tended to be written as the last word in a lot of discussions because he's a heroic Wears A National Symbol guy.
He's a good man, an exemplary one at times, but there's a lot of rooms where he's never been the only such.
(Sometimes, you wish that Mark Gruenwald hadn't done quite so much " Steve is a moderate in a world of extremists ".)
