Secret Society of Super-villains #2

Writers: Gerry Conway and David Anthony Kraft

Pencils: Pablo Marcos

Inks: Bob Smith

The Secret Society of Super-villains add a confused Golden Age hero to their number.

At least it’s not a newspaper this time.

Captain Comet accompanies the super-villains back to their lair.

Not that one. This isn’t a Steve Englehart book.

Next: Starman #12.

Seems like Grodd could do QUITE A LOT against Green Lantern actually!

I like that the Secret Society of Super-villains have different misalignment of ambitions. This is a very fun and enjoyable read.

You know how, after the Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD story that gave us Scorpio and his Zodiac Key, there were some stories that reused that superpowered ankh with at least one panel of the artist doing their very best to imitate Steranko's visuals?

" Darkseid's Sanctuary " is that, but for Kirby.

You'd think, in all his time cruising around space, Captain Comet would have run into (or at least heard of) the Green Lantern Corps. Oh well. Chalk up another embarrassing defeat for Hal Jordan.

I really like Pablo Marcos' artwork here.
