Total Chaos 9! (Team Titans #3)

Somewhat cheesy, somewhat anticlimactic the end of Total Chaos!

After this I should probably get around to posting the Team Titans origin stories...hmmm...

8 pages from a 24 page story

Lest we forget the last parts of the story brought all the parties colliding with one another.

Deathstroke's died. The Team Titans and New Titans have teamed up. Donna going by the name Troia has activated her full Titan God powers and is apparently being driven a bit nutty from it. Lord Chaos her son from the future wants her dead and has brought his cannon  troops from his timeline alongside him to take over this past or as he sees it alternate past.

The battles hitting a fevered pitch as the Titan groups try clearing a path through the troopers to Lord Chaos. Meanwhile Troia's going power crazy and wailing on Lord Chaos.

Enter Battalion.

Chaos then goes on how he can't believe his mother wasted her powers not using them like he has.

Lord Chaos: I returned us (the gods) to glory!

The background changes during this boss fight and the groups are pulling into the world of the Titan Gods/Titans of Myth.

Oh Pantha, you so murdery.

Then Baby Wildebeest, after Troia'ss nearly defeated Lord Chaos, says he wants to kill him and Troia tells him that's her job.

This makes her current mind and her old way of thinking as Donna start colliding from the differences since the old Donna wouldn't be so blood thirsty. And she starts realizing that her powers must be driving her mad, since she wasn't supposed to receive them for another 50 years. And the Titan gods start telling her that she was chosen for these powers because of her ability to love all life.

They then tell her that only love can calm someone's madness and to help them reach Lord Chaos.

And thus....

Donna enters hug mode and defeats Lord Chaos, shunting him to where the Titans of Myth will beat his ass until he gets with the godly program and Donna removes her powers so that she can live a normal life.

Pantha: Wait...How the hell do we get down from here?

Love how Carrie's practically squeeing over Donna and Terry. Hah.

Teh end, Donna has defeated the baddie with LOOOOVE.

He went back through time, never to return, just 'cause he was spoiling for a fight? This man has some SERIOUS aggression issues.

He seems to have been a deliberate riff on Cable... except even less interesting.

If he were a deliberate riff on Cable, wouldn't he have a metal left arm or something? Not to mention oodles of ANGST! If he's a riff on anyone, I'd say it's Wolverine, what with the cigar and the hair and the bad attitude. (Of course, Wolvie is short, and this guy is... NOT short, but that could be a deliberate inversion.)

Ah. Well, maybe he's a synthesis of the two, then.

Massive drill sergeant travels back from the future to train young heroes and, as noted, a dumptruck full of angst and a gun the size of a pick-up truck? Sorry Logan fans, that's Cable. (The hair is just inexplicable, but this was the 90's)

Well, yeah, but '90's Cable was always more on the 'grim' side of the grim n' gritty - I mean, he was a Liefeld character; he gritted out his words from behind a perpetual scowl, except when he was on a cover - then he went 'RHAAAAH!' This guy may have Cable's general schtick, but he's borrowed his, shall we say, zest for life from early Wolvie.
