...Still less horrifying than Black Lantern Terry Long was.

[identity profile] ladytimedramon.insanejournal.com 2009-05-16 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Black Lantern Terry Long?

Has he appeared, or are we just waiting for him to show himself?

Zombie Flying Graysons?

[identity profile] sailorlibra.insanejournal.com 2009-05-16 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Artists who sexualize their drawings of female zombies really squick me out.

My heart broke when I saw Bzzd. It really did.

Yay, Katma Tui! Sure, she'll be a zombie but...yay, Katma Tui!

Poor John, guy rarely catches a break.

[identity profile] thokstar.insanejournal.com 2009-05-16 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Somebody want to play guess the former Green Lanterns? I recognize B'zzd, Jack T. Chance, and Katma Tui.

[identity profile] kagome654.insanejournal.com 2009-05-16 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I see Galius Zed and Ke'Haan. No Ch'p though...(sad now)

...Wow, that Titans mini is going to be the black spot on this entire event. Everything else looks awesome, but from the weak creative team to the repulsive cover, the Titans mini looks awful.

*is staring at the Beast Boy/Terra cover with a look on her face that can only be described as 0_o*

I love how well-kept zombie!Terra's hair is.

[identity profile] batcookies.insanejournal.com 2009-05-16 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I know of some hairsprays that I suspect really would keep your hair like that years after death.

Hmm....Undead Green Lanterns.

Oh yeah, its Nekron. He's the only one who makes sense for this thing. It better be Nekron, it if isn't Nekron, I'll eat my wallet.

[identity profile] nymphgalatea.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
If it's not Nekron I'll eat my entire comics collection. Including the hardback edition of Kingdom Come which weighs about 10 pounds.

Zombie TerraxBeast Boy?

.. well, as long as it keeps putting off BBRae! *thumbs up*

[identity profile] janegray.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
I'm glad you did, because I love your icon :D

[identity profile] neuhallidae.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
::keyboardpound:: Augh, God, that Titans cover hits all kinds of squick.

[identity profile] tragical_mirth.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
*Original!Terra SQUEE*

Wow, I'm old.

wow...that titans cover...

[identity profile] pepperspray101.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
...has got to be the worse thing I've ever seen.

D: That is so f***in nasty. They're slobering all over eachother? *gags* Wow, DC, real classy work there. UGH.

Re: wow...that titans cover...

[identity profile] icon_uk.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure she's slobbering so much as... liquefying! o_O

[identity profile] queen_marshed.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Let's just ignore the Titains mini... -_-;

Others look pretty cool though.

[identity profile] oath5.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Um, is that the original evil mcbuck tooth Terra or the good Terra that looked just like her?

[identity profile] scorpiokyle.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
most likely the original, since beastboy was all obsessed over her

[identity profile] icon_uk.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Does no one remember the FYL Legion arc where Mordru revives dead heroes to fight the Legion, and we see the likes of Zombie Terra and Zombie Jason Todd Robin? Must dig that out for comparison with this...

And agreed, nothing can make that Titans cover less than barf worthy, but to be fair, that's the point. I'm not barfing AT it, I'm barfing WITH it... so to speak.

[identity profile] greenmask.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 11:04 am (UTC)(link)
That second cover is pretty great. And the colouring on the third also!

[identity profile] sistermagpie.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 11:30 am (UTC)(link)
Looking at the rest of the solicits, it seems like they're mostly dead heroes returning? So how come the Flying Graysons would come back? Or are other people getting dead parents too?

I remember somebody making a joke about Mary Grayson: Black Lantern months ago. Totally called it!

[identity profile] xlineartx.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 12:52 pm (UTC)(link)
All terrifying squick aside, I'm sick of everyone ignoring how badass Katma Tui was. She was badass, dudes and ladies! She was pretty much just as famous as Hal was among the non-Earth Lanterns. And as much as I love John, Katma was a Lantern way longer than he was. DCAU Katma trained Kyle, for God's sake. Let's give her some respect, here.

[identity profile] nymphgalatea.insanejournal.com 2009-05-17 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Doug Mahnke is a god, oh yes. That top cover is gorgeous.

GL Corps is immense too, I love how fucked up Bzzd and Ch'p look.

Not touching Titans with a ten foot pole.

[identity profile] halloweenjack.insanejournal.com 2009-05-18 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, DC: I didn't need a lot of encouragement to stay away from this series, but thanks for helping me stay strong, anyway.

[identity profile] jlroberson.insanejournal.com 2009-05-19 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
Again, I only have one thing to say.

That Terra. First she's an object for pedophilia, now necrophilia. DC certainly has fun with that girl. No wonder her brother's so whiny.
