The sexy acrobat hero and his hot alien hero girlfriend
No not THOSE two....
I've been going through some old long boxes and found the Alan Davis Excalibur run. Some I posted already, where we met the Incredible N-Men, but here are a couple more fun pages (One panel from Excalibur 46, four and a bit pages from #47 and one page from #55)
The last page of Excalibur #46 has a new arrival breaking in on a session where Nightcrawler, new potential member Kylun and theTechnet N-Men are meeting up to investigate a whole slew of bodies which sometime member Widget has created and discarded, evolving each time (but that's a story for another day) and they are interrupted by the sudden arrival in the room of THIS creature....

#47 starts up immediately....

At this point a miracle occurs, as a flock of mini-dragons (The offspring of Technet member "Numbers" and the dragon who used to power Excalibur's dimension hopping train.... (but that's a story for another day) ) appear and distract everyone... Kurt seizes his chance.

I love that line, and the fact I'd long since stopped thinking about the Technet as being anything other than people says something about Davis' writing and drawing ability.
We cut away to the other ongoing plot, about Brian being on Otherworld, and the events leading up to Necrom and the Anti-Phoenix (but that's a story for... look you can guess where this is going can't you)

And she would continue to have a lot of fun for some time, though she never did get the hang of abbreviating her introduction...

She, with her semi-Green Lantern style constructs and battle armour became a member of the team, but wasn't involved with anyone beyond "teammate and colleague" until a few issues later, where at a posh dinner party, Courtney Ross (in reality the evil Sat-yr-9) swans in looking stunning and plants a rather elaborate kiss on a startled Brian, which leads to a jealous and fuming Meggan proceeding to attempt to snog Brian's brains out to prove that she loves him more... the rest of the guests look on a little embarrassed by it all (Well, most of them WERE British). One doesn't look so much confused as... intrigued.

Yes, Cerise, judging by Kurts delightfully twitterpated expression, I think you did it just right. And they got closer from there... *
Just a fun little sequence I thought you might enjoy!
* And I still refuse to acknowledge the complete hash of things Scott Lobdell managed within an issue of coming on board as writer, when he revealed that Cerise was actually an agent for Lilandra and she was actually from the Shi'Ar Imperium because, y'now, spacetime is really THAT small. -Sigh-
