Hanako to Guuwa no Tera - Hanako and the Teller of Alegory, pt 1

In honour of halloween...I do not, actually bring horror, but a manga based on urban legends and other scary stories is close enough, I think!
1 page of 1, and 11 and change of 35 under the cut.
(Sorry for the misfire, earlier, if anyone caught it...accidentally sent an incomplete post while adding tags.)
NSFW, due to vague nudity. (This chapter isn't too full of it, but further chapters will have more, so it's probably best to have that boilerplated. Heh.)
I'm sure we're all familiar enough with manga to know right-to-left by now, but, still...read right to left. >_>

After that brief and vaguely confusing prologue, we turn to our heroine visiting a detective agency, she was directed to in an internet chat. (No, she is not Hanako, we'll get to her in a little while.)

That is a lot of dirty manga. And don't be fooled, it's his, it's just he's not the only one what reads it there.
That embarrassing moment out of the way, he gives Kanae some tea, and tells her, offhand, that she looks tired... (Tact, he don't got it...though it's not so bad as I make it sound in context.)

(The hiccups are explained in a later chapter, though I'm sure you can figure out generally what they mean, just from context.)

She tells him about seeing a man with an axe under her bed, which is an urban legend going around at the time.

So...story told, Kanae begins crying because she thinks what Asou said means she's beyond saving, but, on the other hand, she's happy to have been believed, and she leaves the office.
Soon afterword the bathroom door opens.

THAT is Hanako.
Anyway, Asou figures out, because he doesn't completely suck as a detective, that the reason Kanae isn't answering is that she's fallen asleep, and thus is being attacked, or about to be attacked, by the Man Under the Bed allegory, and hurries to her apartment...which, luckily either isn't locked, or has a hella flimsy door.

The axe comes down! ... ... ... Barely missing Kanae?

Hanako is really a weird little thing, isn't she?
Anyway, it's a quick fight, and soon, Asou is facing off with the Allegory.

ASOU DAISUKE, FOLKLORE DETECTIVE.

Kanae puts two and two together, and figures out that Hanako is Hanako of the Toilet. (Japanese urban legends are weird. There are a LOT involving the toilet - another one of which is featured later on.)
So, anyway, Kanae is saved by Asou...but she can't afford to pay him, so....

Next up...my favouritest of favourite Japanese urban legends....
