The entire Kato/Robin relationship in a single panel

From digital edition #9 of "Batman 66 meets the Green Hornet"

Now, in fairness to the Boy Wonder, neither Green Hornet nor Kato have clued anyone else in on the fact that they're really working for the good guys by pretending to be villains, so Robin really has no reason to trust, or like, Kato when the Green Hornet proposes an alliance to stop the duo of Joker and General Gumm, but Robin's grumpy, pouty-face was too awesome not to share!

Robin X Bruce Lee? I'd ship that in a heartbeat!

Legend has it that when the Green Hornet and Kato were set to appear on the Batman! TV show that Burt Ward thought he could take Bruce Lee in a fight. Knowing this, watching the fight scenes from those episodes is quite hilarious, as Lee makes Ward appear to be approximately 3x slower than himself.

The version I heard that was Bruce Lee was more bothered by the writers of the crossover originally booking Robin to win against Kato than anything Ward himself did... only for it to be changed to a draw after Lee made a show of chasing Ward around the set until someone cracked wise about "the black panther and the yellow canary".

Is this the same Gumm they fought in their first team-up? (And is the show canon for the comic, or is it just a stylistic borrowing?)

Cool, thanks for the info.

we've even had Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt appearing as Catwoman in different stories without a word of explanation about the changeover.

Hah. That's awesome. Why am I not reading this series?
