Professor X's Creepy Flesh Suit

Professor X often has a bit of a patriarchal creep-factor about him, but Mike Allred and Peter Milligan take it to new levels in these 2 pages from X-Statix #6...

Prof. X has made a touch-sensitive sex suit for a woman made up of pure energy, Venus Dee Milo. She is not pleased.

I like how creepily into his kinky sex-suit Xavier is here - "No! You're a young woman! Wear my suit, d***it!" Also, since the heroine here, Venus Dee Milo, is a black woman, whereas the skin is *pink*, I think it references the old X-men theme of Xavier's mutant assimilationism in a subtle and irreverent way.

Professor X is one of the many 'SCIENCE!' characters of the Marvel Universe. The silver age idea always seems to be that if you understand one science...ANY SCIENCE...you are pretty much an expert at anything you apply to if you put some time in it. This is, of course, the equivalent of Deion Sanders being not only good at Baseball and Football, but also hockey, soccer, jai-lai, cricket and is a driver at both formula one and NASCAR.

The only measuring stick we have for geniuses in the MU is against OTHER geniuses. Mister Fantastic displays nobel-level genetic knowledge...unless Professor X is in the room...and so on.
