Amazing Spider-Man #14

(Basically the red crystal holds the essence of Morlun's father)

Spider-Man brings him to "Uncle Ben"'s dimension which is filled with radiation which is toxic to Morlun and co. Morlun says that this will kill him, and Spider-Man tells him to go to the bomb shelter. It will keep him alive, but barely.

And then with the death of the Master Weaver, all of the Spider-People killed by the Morluns came back to life, thereby rendering this entire event as completely & utterly pointless.

Ah, I can dream.

Wouldn't be surprised if Karn's first course of action as the new Master Weaver (come on, it's obvious that's what's coming next), other than hopefully unceremoniously mindwiping Otto and dumping him back in time before he can bullshit an out, is reviving the slain, because it's still a really fucking depressing ending otherwise.

But then there's a Spider-Verse Secret Wars spinoff with Mayday prominently featured, so I guess she doesn't get to go home just yet. I suspect Arachnia on Battleworld will be the chunk of Loomworld with all the Spiders on it who couldn't go home for whatever reason. Or they're actually pulling the 'Spider-verse Mayday is different from MC2 Mayday' card, since we know that's MC2 is on Battleworld from A-Next showing up in teasers.

And it's not by Slott, so it might in fact be passable! Whereas Renew Your Vows/One More Day is his playground so urgghhhhh.

Yeah, but he is really not the guy I'd tap for that. He's not been able to write Peter or MJ well since Spider-Island, if not earlier.

I have it on good authority (as in, I had a personal discussion with Slott while at a 'con) that Slott wants to bring the marriage back, has pitched bringing the marriage back... repeatedly... has been told he can't bring the marriage back... repeatedly... and so is (and I quote) "making the best of things" and going in new directions.

Your mileage will no doubt vary on how successful he's been with that. I'm not a fan, to be honest, but I'd honestly like to see him write the Spider-marriage. I've a feeling (given his Silver Surfer work, and the couple of scenes he wrote of Pete and MJ in She-Hulk way back when) that he'd be rather good at it.

Considering that he doesn't have a clue how to write Peter, I seriously doubt that. The man does not get the difference between a loser and an underdog.

Well I find that slightly unbelievable form much of his online correspondence ad writing of MJ in Superior, but if he genuinely wants to write the marriage, then that at least takes a weight off my mind. And probably should get an award for acting.

Do you have scans of the Peter & MJ scenes from She-Hulk by any chance?

i would not call a comic that gave us SPider-man meeting his Tokusatsu counterpart completely pointless...maybe 90% pointles but not completely pointless

GO LEOPARDON!

A revived "Spider-Man Team-Up" title with 616 Spider-Man teaming up with a variant Spider-being from another dimension every issue and having whacky hi-jinks together would be kind of cool
