Once, the Punisher found himself in the stygian depths.

His way was lit by a bony guide.

" Come, Punisher. You follow. "

Gingerly, he did.

" New home. Like old. Same pain. Same death. "

The door opened, revealing the thing's master- a demonically exaggerated Wilson Fisk.

(This was about a year after the Punisher'd waged war against the Kingpin.)

The looming ogre mocked the Punisher before throwing him to the mercy of those sitting at their master's feet and on his back.

They had their turn, jeering that they were just like the Punisher, that they'd learned how to hurt and what to aspire to from the things he'd done.

The Punisher awoke gasping from his dream.

He got up and went to wash his face.

(Pagecount's under 2 of 6 from " Forewarned.. Foretold? " in Punisher Annual #3 from 1990. Writing's Gregory Wright, pencils're Lee Sullivan.)
