News: Marvel's "Inhumans" Full Cast

Source: hollywoodreporter.com

Anson Mount as Black Bolt
Black Bolt is the enigmatic and commanding King of the Inhumans who has a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city.

Serinda Swan as Medusa
Medusa is the queen of the Inhumans and wife of Black Bolt — his most trusted adviser, a fiercely resilient warrior who has the ability to move and control her hair the way most people use their hands and fingers.

Iwan Rheon as Maximus
Maximus is a clever and charming Inhuman who is fiercely devoted to the people of Attilan, especially his brother, Black Bolt, the king — though he harbors an intense desire to wear the crown himself.

Ken Leung as Karnak
Karnak is Black Bolt's cousin and closest adviser. His gift is an ability to see the fault in all things — people, plans, structures, everything. He's Black Bolt's most ardent supporter and strategist and is often seen as the royal family's planner and philosopher.

Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon
Gorgon is the cousin of Black Bolt and a member of the royal family who is the leader of Attilan’s military. With super strong legs, complete with hooves, he can generate destructive seismic waves with a single stomp. The ying to his cousin Karnak’s yang, Gorgon would rather fight than talk to solve his problems.

Isabelle Cornish as Crystal
Crystal is Medusa's sister and the youngest member of the royal family who has the ability to control the elements. Impetuous and independent she is also deeply devoted to her family.

Mike Moh as Triton
Triton is Black Bolt's cousin who is calm under pressure and supremely athletic. His gift is his fish — like the ability to live underwater.

Sonya Balmores as Auran
Auran is head of the Royal Guards on Attilan, a capable and no-nonsense woman. She is fiercely loyal to the King of Attilan.

Ellen Woglom as an undisclosed character
The mystery character is smart, intense and focused — so focused that oftentimes social skills take a back seat. Her job at a private aerospace company is her life, second only to her passion for all things space and lunar. She’s primed to be swept up in an adventure.

Lockjaw as Crystal’s 2,000-pound canine companion
The sizable pooch has the ability to teleport.

The Inhumans tv show will debut in IMAX before premiering on ABC on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Yeah. What I said: there are places where I've seen such complaints five times more often than actual X-Men comics/series discussions.

Eh. Comic book fans love to complain. Its how you know they care.

I used to be an X zombie. All X-men, all the time. I hate where their storyline has gone and I'm very bitter.

But regardless, Marvel needs powered masses in their world and they. can't. use. mutants. All the tv shows and movies? Those aren't Marvel. They're Fox studios. So complaining because Marvel can't use mutants? Because Fox won't share and they have unlimited rights to use ANY mutant storylines, past or future? It is asking Marvel to create content and not get paid for it. It is absurd.

Inhumans are the fact of life in the MCU and it isn't going to change.

I, erm, hope that this community will not be like one of the places I mentioned above.

Still, here we are, in the MCU Inhumans post, ranting about how the X-Men are neglected by Marvel instead of... I dunno, discussing Legion in a Legion post (I don't see any) or Logan in a Logan post (I don't see any) or X-Men comics in any X-Men title (I see a few, of course, but I see more of other characters and teams).

Don't you understand what exactly I'm talking about?

Good point. Admittedly, to clarify, I'm not complaining about Marvel neglecting mutants. I support their attempt to replace mutants. (I'm not sure about the legalities of a character that used to be a mutant becoming not a mutant and whether Fox still gets to appropriate their storylines. But this is comic book reality and I'm sure a way can be found.)

And I'm not complaining about Marvel neglecting mutants because I don't actually feel that they are neglecting mutants. At least, not as much as the complaints usually go. There's s the ongoing show and some vague news about possible upcoming shows too, there's "Logan", there's the upcoming ResurreXion reboot, plus, If I remember correctly, some series about younger mutants (I've seen covers with Quentin Quire and Jubilee). And the Inhumans are going to be literally thrown into space all the while in their upcoming "Royals" series :D
That does NOT look like Marvel replacing mutants with Inhumans to me. MCU is another franchise, of course, with its peculiarities, and everything happening in it is understandable.

1. No one blames Marvel for not including mutants in the MCU. They blame Marvel for how the X-Men are being treated in the comics right now. Ruining the X-Men in the comics doesn't hurt Fox -- they can make X-Men films indefinitely until the end of time -- it hurts the comics and it hurts the fans.

2. Does Marvel need "powered masses" in their world? Because the MCU has been around for close to a decade now and right now the Inhumans have just appeared in a TV show that most people don't care about. And given how the TV content doesn't effect the movies, the Inhuman show probably won't have any effect on what Iron Man and Cap are doing over in the films.

1. They hurt the X-men brand years ago. Join the club of bitter ex-X-men fans. Better to burn it down and restart IMO if thats what it takes to sidestep the ip legalities.

2. Yes. The powered masses are part of the overall storyline. The Accords would be ridiculous overkill if it was just the Avengers it was talking about. Hints of the Accords making their way into Manhattan police headquarters in Netflix Daredevil would be stupid, if that only referred to the Avengers and a handful of altered people like Quicksilver.

2a. Mutants were created to provide a deus ex machina excuse for people to get powers. Since MCU can't use that, Inhumans will substitute.

"The powered masses are part of the overall storyline. The Accords would be ridiculous overkill if it was just the Avengers it was talking about.."

They're part of the storyline for a TV show most people don't watch. As far as people who just watch the MCU films, the Accords refer to the Avengers and the many deaths inadvertently caused by them. There have been fourteen films in the MCU and none that reference the Inhumans in *any* capacity.

It's like the 'Expanded Universe' for Star Wars -- the majority of people will just watch the films. What goes on in the novels, comics or shows are irrelevant. Heck with Star Wars they've actually bothered to synchronize the films with the shows like having a character from the cartoons show up in Rogue One in a fairly significant role. Marvel hans't even done that with any of the Inhumans.

Fox wasn't stopping Marvel from using the mutants in their video games or animated series, but they still chose to prevent them from being used.

It is asking Marvel to create content and not get paid for it. It is absurd.

Does Fox get the money Marvel makes from the comics or merchandise?

IIRC no Fox doesn't get money from anything but the films themselves which is why there are no tie in promotions like happy meal toys or anything else because Marvel doesn't want to promote the fox movies even though they'd be the ones making money.

The merchandise is the goldmine, not the comics. But I believe that section of the company is thought of separately. No one says such-and-such comic can lose money as long as the merchandise is making up for it.

Right, and Fox doesn't get money from any of that,

It looks like Marvel is starting to realize that cutting their nose off to spite their face wasn't helping them, which is why we're getting the Resurrexion line and seeing more X-Men merchandise pop up, not to mention the rumors of an animated series later in the year (and apparently they're going to be DLC in the new Marvel Capcom game, which makes me think they were originally not going to be allowed before Marvel decided to end their x-embargo).

I can't even parse it... It is literally like Perlmutter has senility and changes his mind one financial quarter to another. Fox studios ripping off the ip? DESTROY ALL MUTANTS. Disney becoming godlike corporation, may absorb universe? Hmm, let Fox have rights to make television show of Legion. ::throws up hands::

According to BleedingCool, Fox already had the tv rights from their original deal.
