The problem is a) the Finches run was wiped away by Rucka, and b) it contradicts things Donna has said previously in Titans about her human family still living.
I mistyped. There's apparently a whole mom/stepmom situation with her now, which this doesn't explain.
In any case, this can't be part of the Finches run, since that happened recently, and Donna had some form of her Teen Titan days restored, hence this title's existence.
Once you've thrown the excision of ten years of memory and events caused by Abra Kadabra, her origin having inconsistencies is, I think, to be expected.
Me, I'm still wondering who "Justin" was, who was mentioned in the New52 Teen Titans #1 as being a member of an earlier incarnation. Prior to Editorial deciding that there had never been a Titans team before Tim's new one, of course.
IMO, the capital P-Problem with Donna's origin is that there's a constant tug-of-war between the Wonder Woman people and the Teen Titans people over who gets to "define" the character. Once George Perez stopped bridging the two it was only a matter of time before things blew up.
Worse still is the fact that there's no easy answer to the above question. In terms of (code)name and iconography Donna certainly *seems* like a Wonder Woman character first, but the fact is, she's never been as important to Diana's mythos as she was (is?) to the Titans'. Hell, she only *exists* as an independent character because of Titans creator Bob Haney.
(There's also the thornier question of whether Diana even needs a sidekick, which is probably tied into whether one prefers her to be immortal or not. I'll leave that debate to stouter souls...)
I'm okay with this origin if only because it doesn't contradict too much the FInche's origin and i can overlook the continuity issues due to the "Lie". The whole "She is not human because clay" bit... no.
In the beginning, the [Donna Troy origin retcons] were spaced by twenty four weeks. Then twelve, then six, then every two weeks. The last one, in [Titans], was a week. In four days we could be seeing a [Donna Troy origin retcon] every eight hours until they are coming every four minutes.
The entire Wonder Woman 'family' is a dumpster fire right now. Diana, Donna, they've pretty much shelved Cassie for the moment as far as I can tell.
There are so many things wrong with Diana's continuity right now, it's awe-inspiring. Between Rucka wiping everything away and the Superman merger, I have no idea what's in continuity for Diana at this point. Much less Donna or Cassie.
At this point, we're going to need a Wonder Woman: Re-Rebirth to fix all the characters' continuities.
1) Donna's star boobs look ridiculous - at least if they were a little more underboob they wouldn't look so much like pasties
2) Diana being so completely unwilling to give someone the benefit of the doubt is really sad. They really have just eradicated any trace of classic WW from her character these days to make her Generic Amazon Warrior Princess huh? :\
Aside from that, I like the setup here and some of the execution; the Flashes interact well, and I like how Aqualad isn't being written as an afterthought
In that one panel, where it literally seems like the stars are on the nipples instead of the sides of her chest really is ridiculous.
It was painful to read Donna being treated like that but keep in mind, Wonder Woman at this point learned she has never visited Paradise Island meaning she's been tricked, caught here the Key took away her lasso of truth and I get the idea that Batman using the parademon scanner confirms to Diana that this is the real Donna Troy. That's how I wanted to read it any way because "I hurt you by keeping you at a distance because I'm keeping a secret from you" read so ridiculous.
What really sucks is that the New 52 was the perfect opportunity to fix complicated characters like then, and give them consistent origins and storylines.
Convergence was also a great opportunity.
Rebirth was also a great opportunity.
But every single time, they just further complicate characters.
Also in addition the fuckin up Donnas origin for traditions sake, can they give her green eyes or something to firmly distinguish her from Diana? DC annoys me to no end with insisting that Clark/Bruce, the Robins, and Diana/Donna must all be fucking indistinguishable.
I want to see a fanfic about a support group for overly retconned superheroes. Donna helps keep everything on track, Hawkman keeps changing the subject to talk about his wife, everyone's a bit testy with Supergirl and Power Girl because each Kara thought the other was supposed to bring the donuts this week, and the Sentry was banned after a certain incident no one wants to discuss.
The extended Summers Lensherr family therapy group have their own meeting hall because it wasn't fair to hog ALL the rooms in the community centre every night.

Who is the redheaded person with the green cape?

I'm at the point where I think it would be better off if they just wrote the character out entirely.
(Of course, they've tried to do THAT multiple times, and it never stuck.)

I'm not saying it's good, but it's not a retcon or anything so it's not TOO convoluted.

If 'overly complex continuity' is considered part of someone's thing, that's a part that should be dropped.

Artemis is doing pretty well in the Outlaws so really the only dumpster fire in the family right now is Donna.

Of course, then Donna would still look like (a slightly taller) Zatanna. And I guess Dinah Lance is also a blue-eyed natural ravenhair.
OK, somebody needs to take charge and give them distinct facial features. Anyone?

NIPPLE STARS?! REALLY!?
Oh, excuse me, they seem to sit just above the nipples. I DON'T CARE! They are so, so tacky.
