Enough with convoluted Donna origins!

This isn't a reveal to anyone who at least glanced at the Finches' Wonder Woman run, though.

I'm not saying it's good, but it's not a retcon or anything so it's not TOO convoluted.

Once you've thrown the excision of ten years of memory and events caused by Abra Kadabra, her origin having inconsistencies is, I think, to be expected.

Me, I'm still wondering who "Justin" was, who was mentioned in the New52 Teen Titans #1 as being a member of an earlier incarnation. Prior to Editorial deciding that there had never been a Titans team before Tim's new one, of course.

IMO, the capital P-Problem with Donna's origin is that there's a constant tug-of-war between the Wonder Woman people and the Teen Titans people over who gets to "define" the character. Once George Perez stopped bridging the two it was only a matter of time before things blew up.

Worse still is the fact that there's no easy answer to the above question. In terms of (code)name and iconography Donna certainly *seems* like a Wonder Woman character first, but the fact is, she's never been as important to Diana's mythos as she was (is?) to the Titans'. Hell, she only *exists* as an independent character because of Titans creator Bob Haney.

(There's also the thornier question of whether Diana even needs a sidekick, which is probably tied into whether one prefers her to be immortal or not. I'll leave that debate to stouter souls...)

Donna Troy managed to be without those things for a good chunk of her life!

If 'overly complex continuity' is considered part of someone's thing, that's a part that should be dropped.

I'm okay with this origin if only because it doesn't contradict too much the FInche's origin and i can overlook the continuity issues due to the "Lie".
The whole "She is not human because clay" bit... no.

Granted, as Donna origins go, it's still way on the simpler end.
