I can imagine a parody of Preacher in which, by the end of the story, all that's left of Starr is an eyeball and a couple of fingers, still (somehow) crying out, "I'll get you for this, Jesse Custer!"

Surprisingly, that happened to Baxter Stockman over the whole series of tmnt 2003. in retrospect it was an incredibly dark storyline.

Québécois comic serie's Red Ketchup has a foe just like that. Otto Künt, the butcher from Auschwitz. He first appeared in 1985 (real time) as an aged ex-Nazi scientist, old but still in good shape. He gets his jaw broken, so he gets an iron jaw. Then, he loses one hand in an explosion, and gets it replaced by hooks. Then he has his legs crushed, and replaces them with crude prothesis made out of old car parts. Réal Godbout, tha artist, once drew a gag cover, showing Künt's severed head floating in a jar, Futurama style..

Moment of badass for Jesse.
Moment of badass for Starr.
Starr gets further mutilated and humiliated.

Yup, it's Preacher all right.
