I may not always like what Tom King writes, and I may not ever see what many readers see in his work, but I loved this two-parter and he'll always be all right by me just for dealing with Didio in that fashion.

Look, Batman + Superman just palling around is like the lowest hanging fruit ever.......but I can't believe how much I love this. Its once of those rare things that captures that childhood joy for me, while at the same time feeding my adult "experienced" self some meat.

I need this whole run.

I think what makes this work is how rarely they've done it (at least as far as I've caught) over the past few years. It gives the stories a bit of room to breath, and it's a refreshing change of pace after the past couple of years of Super-continuity reboots.

I will say... it's hard to argue with Lois Lane cheesecake in the scan above, when you also get Bruce and Clark beefcake to balance it out.

And I love how committed Clark is to his civilian identity that he wears his Clark glasses over his Batsuit.

Thanks for posting this - it's adorable!

I would read this kind of story every month. Comics are so dark, there would have to be some light moments, or the characters would fall apart. It's nice to see the positive moments that keep them mentally balanced.
