Avengers #675-676 - "No Surrender," Parts 1-2

Between Jim [Zub]’s action storytelling skills and inexhaustible energy and drive, Mark [Waid]’s experience, expertise and deep character knowledge, Alanna Smith’s problem-solving mojo, Tom Brevoort’s uber-editorial ear and whatever the hell I’ve been doing, we’ve formed a writing Voltron that’s stronger than any one of us alone. -- Al Ewing

Well my initial thought was "didn't Waid just do this?" but then I saw all of Avengers history with "Not-Triumph" thrown in and I just thought about the third* best Christmas special with an evil robot Santa.

*Because nothing beats the first two Futurama X-Mas specials. Charlie Brown and the Justice League are great but they didn't have evil robot Santas.

The best part of that is the ACTUAL explanation for Minimoose: He WAS originally planned to appear in the show already and actually be Zim's other sidekick but the show was cancelled before his origin episode could be made.
However, Nick insisted the christmas episode to be finished and aired and since Minimoose's scenes had already been made, they had to quickly add a scene to handwave away Minimoose.
