Well, Luthor and Superman have had a kid together, so they must be pretty close. ;)

I've never been that big a Spider-Man fan. I like the character, but I've never been able to get into the stories that are told. I guess part of that is the supporting cast and rogues gallery.

Viewed as a villain in the Marvel Universe at large, Green Goblin just strikes me as one note and dull. Thunderbolts went down the drain, for me, when Zemo left and Osborn arrived.

And his presence is totally killing any interest I have in Marvel, apart from Captain America, which is still top notch.

Really, that issue in Thunderbolts where Norman finally cuts loose and becomes the Goblin after so long and just shows how amazinginly insane he is is one of my favorite Thunderbolts moments.

Yeah, I can see why people would like it. But it did nothing for me. I liked the premise of the Thunderbolts being villains who were trying to reform and do right. I liked it when their desire to do right was so completely tied up in their own egos, as with Zemo.

But Osborn, Venom, Bullseye and Moonstone effectively using it as a form of immunity? That really didn't do it for me. In fact, the only bit of that run I liked, at all, was when American Eagle crippled Bullseye.... Except, of course, he got better.

I guess I just like villains being villains. That's not to say the ideas of the orginal Thunderbolts were bad. But I just like gleefully evil characters like the DA.

I guess I just like villains being villains.

Whereas I prefer my characters to be multidimensional rather than one-note, regardless of whether they're heroes or villains.

God, you're such an insulting, condescending ... do you ever post anything positive or are you always this much of an ass? I mean, I've never read anything that you've ever written on here or the old board that made me think, "Wow, that was insightful. I would have never have thought of that."

Honestly, I prefer my fellow posters to be multidimensional, rather than one-note ...

I don't think it's any more condescending or insulting for me to say "I prefer my characters to be multidimensional rather than one-note" than it was for punishermax to say "I guess I just like villains being villains," especially since he's directly implying that there's only ONE way for "real" villains to be, as if everyone who should automatically recognize that one way.

I'm not offended by what punishermax has said, and if he's offended by anything that I've said, I'd hope that he'd tell me, so I'm not sure why YOU'RE getting so offended by it.

I.....wasen't trying to be insulting at all?

Which is precisely my point, yes.

Neither of us were trying to be insulting, to my mind, which is why I wasn't offended, and which is why I hope you weren't offended, either (if you were, I apologize).

We were just having a strong difference of opinion (you know, like usual). :)

2. Do not make personal attacks or insults in posts or comments. [...] It's perfectly fine to disagree with others and to express your own opinions, but if you can't do so without resorting to personal attacks or passive aggression, then that's probably a sign that you should take a step back from the conversation.
