Specifically, Moore has said, somewhere, that "Superduperman" was a big influence on his dark revision of Johnny "Kid Miracleman" Bates.

Yeah, the destruction in the battles in Superduperman were supposed to be played for serious with the Kid Miracleman battles.
Moore has also stated that Watchmen's focus on the relationship of the secret identity was also inspired by Superduperman ("yer still a creep!").
