Okay, this is actually pretty good.

Reed's opinion on the Negative Zone prison here is exactly what his regular version should have thought of the idea back in Civil War. It's such a bonkers idea.

In a world gone mad... Reed Richards makes sensible decisions!

To be fair, going by the core book the Negative Zone was originally meant to be more of a temporary holding jail until they had something better than a permanent prison.

Who is the guy at the end?

I thought that Blade was the person in this who remembered how things should be?

"just another old vet the world's forgotten" should be a clue, because whatever else Heroes Reborn is, it's definitely not subtle.

It's Captain America. He'd been kept on ice by Evil Coulson, and Blade busted him out at the end of issue 1.

Honestly didn't put that together.

Thought it was Thor...well, Don Blake looking like Thor anyway.

I’ve been reading this and I thought it was Thor until someone pointed it out on another message board

Really there aren't THAT many artists outside of George Pérez who allow me to tell all the muscular blond haired blue eyed Avengers apart outside of costume. These days I assume if I see one with a beard it's Thor, if one has shades it's Hawkeye, if one has a lab coat it's Pym, ect.

Blade is the only one who remembers AND is able to do something about it. As we've seen in the other issues, other characters have vague memories that this world is a lie -- like the Hulk here, who knows something is wrong, but can't articulate it because he's been transformed into a more Bizarro-esque version of himself.

All those eyebeam holes in Hulk, rather than carved lines - was Hyperion constantly blinking during their fight?

Of course.

Dry eye is a common side effect of atomic vision.

One of my favorite parts of this event was the contrast between the Peter Parker appearance in this issue with the Peter Parker tie-in issue that came out the same week

It's almost over, they're releasing weekly issues and one-shots instead of monthly issues and mini's.

English verb tenses are weird some times. The event isn't over but the incident I'm referring to happened a month ago

Chris Claremont's WHOM GODS DESTROY miniseries had history like this. Superman sank the Japanese Navy the day after Pearl Harbor was attacked.

Claremont says:
"But the way this history evolves is that on December 7th Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, on December 8th Superman sinks the entire Japanese Navy, on December 9th Japan surrenders…they have no choice… ‘Do you really want to do this?’

So Germany never declares war, and the United States, because of conflicts within the United States, never enters the War in Europe. "

The Wikipedia synopsis for Whom Gods Destroy is such a wonderful journey, thank you for reminding me of its existence.
