There is no universe where I can picture the moronic parasites that are the regular people of the Marvel universe being helpful or showing anyone any kind of basic decency

I was let down by this issue because, as you say, it was just a stealth issue of What If...?

I was hoping for something a bit more insightful or dealing with how the Watcher has been all up in Earth's business for many years, rather than just a "here's an Earth where you didn't help, and things went okay." Like in the old Timequake storyline in What If... where the Watcher actually got involved and saved the multiverse.

This. Is. Idiotic. They killed Galactus by switching it from suck to blow? And by doing so, Reed somehow figured out how to replicate the results? The results of energy going in reverse?

Why did Galactus blind Sue? Why not vaporize her head? Why is there a tiny lever inside Galactus's processor? Who is going to pull it?

"Herald. Go into my device and flip these levers for me."

"But...you built this thing before you created me...who was going to...?"
"DO NOT QUESTION THE DESIGNS OF GALACTUS!"

And somehow, not a single bad thing ever happened again after this? With Zero Energy becoming so easily accessed, no one tried to use it for nefarious purposes? Mad Thinker never used it? Some new design of Sentinels?

Wouldn't this reality need to be created by Franklin Richards after the multiverse collapsed? Did it exist before or is it new? And why did Uatu, muse out loud that he was right not to interfere? Who does that? "Phew. Glad I didn't do this thing. I mean, I'd be REALLY stupid to do that. I'd ruin things forever and ever."

Theory: Uatu's father and the other Watchers are running a scam. To keep Uatu occupied because he's always found his oath a bit... flexible in extreme situations. Even showing up on Earth lets the good guys know how serious matters are. So, this is more of a distraction than a punishment. Cruel, either way.
