And yet, this manages to be lower than they were.

So Justice League vs. the Legion only reveals who the actual big bad is in the second-to-last issue?

I'm always happy when an event is actually heroes vs villains and not "Heroes beat up other heroes because the plot says they have to"

I like that it's restricting its tie ins to some miniseries

I think Thomas Wayne started out as a mildly interesting concept in the original Flashpoint, of an example of just how badly Barry had borked things up.

Then there was Earth-2*, and Tom King's run and Infinite Frontier and Justice League Incarnate and apparently being disintegrated isn't enough to just get rid of him RRRRRRRAAAAAGGHH...
(*and I know that was a different version of the character, but the point broadly stands!)


I think I'm just burnt out on big multiverse shenanigans.
(Especially since all most writers want to do with the multiverse is smash it, rather than just have alternate universe fun with it...)

I actually thought that Infinite Frontier and Justice League Incarnate were the only times that Thomas Wayne was even slightly tolerable as a character

I do agree that he should have died for real at the end of JLI

I'm going to pretend he did

It's not like any of this All Star Ultimate Flashpoint Reborn Rebirthinated bullshit that DC put Johns on to shut him up is ever going to matter

Which was so utterly fucking awful that it helped Ryan Reynolds make the important decision to stop making films for DC so we got the enjoyable fun of the Deadpool movies instead of a bunch of shitty Green Lantern movies from DC

At the risk of getting into an argument I really, really don't want to, he was also the one whose stories formed the basis for the Aquaman and Shazam, the two most successful DC films of the decade

And you’d be wrong. Aquaman might be debatable but Shazam isn’t. Every aspect of that film from Billy’s attitude to his fellow foster kid was established in Johns’ run on Shazam and nowhere else. If you remove everything from Johns’ run from that, you’re left with no movie at all
