They were probably told about it. That's why nobody bothered to help him, despite the fact Shocker had been told he would have cover.

Been loving all these 80es postings you've been making recently. It's very much my childhood era of discovering all the characters. Though I somehow missed this story at the time. Fascinating to see it now!
