Spidey's first encounter with Cloak and Dagger.

Of course, Cloak and Dagger's extreme methods would eventually get toned down. Maybe they got fed up of Spider-Man's incessant criticism and were like ‘urgh, fine. No more killing’.

Compare that to the Punisher, whose methods seem to get more extreme.

I am also reminded of the X-Men's previous attempts at appropriating non-mutant heroes. Cloak and Dagger, Namor, Gwenpool, now it’s Ms. Marvel. Make of that what you will.

Cloak and Dagger were eventually retconned to not be mutants after all and everybody seems to have forgotten about whether Namor is a mutant or not.
