Tim's been drawn with rather... "whippy" hair since Fredie Williams II started drawing him, even moreso than Dick.

Yeah.... I just like Tim with his mop-top do he's got going on. I prefer when the artists stick with the hair the boys have.

Or the writers given Jason's closet ginger situation...

The irritating part is that Jason was NEVER ginger, Jason 1.0 was strawberry blond.

I KNOW. I KNOW. It's just ridiculous. And on top of that, Morrison himself wrote Batman #683, in which there is a Jason flashback from when Batman caught him stealing the tires. AND HE HAS BLACK HAIR.

[identity profile] benicio127.insanejournal.com 2009-11-02 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.... which means there was no need to dye it. Since it was already black. And this is in a book Morrison wrote.

However, the thought of Jason dying his hair black even up to this day makes me LOL. But it's just... so out there. That was a whole bag of Morrison pulling stuff out of his ass.

I can fanwank it by saying the Lazarus Pit fucked up Jason's memories so he remembers things that happened to Pre-Crisis Jay as though they happened to him.

Well, Jason being shoved in there with Ra's probably did add some crazy to the mix, I still am baffled by it.

Oh I know, Superboy Prime punched time! That'd do it.

[identity profile] benicio127.insanejournal.com 2009-11-02 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but the Jason that dyed his hair was pre-Crisis Jason with the acrobat parents who were killed by Killer Croc. Not the street urchin Batman found stealing his tires.

Doesn't make it any more logical, tho.

Not the first time no, but when they've clearly, and repeatedly established all along that Jason 2.0 had ALWAYS had black hair, it's one of the more annoying.

[identity profile] icon_uk.insanejournal.com 2009-11-03 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure how many more ways I can put this, but "Yes" it has very clearly been established that Jason 2.0 had naturally black hair from the outset. Aside from the assorted DC Who's Who listings (Which had in the Jason 1.0 days made it clear that he was a blond who dyed his hair) which list him as having black hair, he had black hair when he first met Bruce, he had black hair in what few flashbacks to a younger age he had and so on.

Bruce could NOT have made him dye his ginger hair black to look more like Dick (as Morrison has Jason say) because he had NEVER BEEN DEPICTED WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN BLACK HAIR from his inception.

Nah, Jason 2.0 is just a case of people forgetting Jason dyed his hair.

And your evidence for this assertion is, considering that DC did point out wherever it was mentioned (Like "Who's Who") that Jason 1.0 was a blond who dyed his hair.

And why are you taking things Jason says so literal?

Because he says them literally perhaps?

He very clearly resents the Batfamily and I'm sure in his current state he would love to remind himself and his new sidekick that he idolized their current enemy once upon a time.

What has that to do with the discussion?

I can't believe we actually completely agree with something about Jason Todd XD
