Richard Dragon: Kung-Fu Fighter #5

Writer: Dennis O’Neil

Pencils: Ric Estrada

Inks: Wally Wood

Lady Shiva is to avenge her sister's death. Richard Dragon is already dead.

The guy’s name is amusingly close to Shit Tie, so I will continue to refer to him as such.

Dragon and his new partner head off on their mission.

Then comes Shiva’s sudden and inevitable betrayal.

Dragon uses Shiva’s belt to reflect Shit Tie’s laser back at him.

Ric Estrada is an under-rated artist, I think. I never saw much of his work back in the day, since he mostly worked on genres other than superheroes, but whenever I run into it, I enjoy it. (Of course, Wally Wood inks certainly don't hurt...)

(err, the last two scans are repeating themselves, by the way.)

"Eh, just a vow of vengeance for my sister. I'll get over it. Kristine would want it that way."
"Carolyn."
"Yeah, whatever."

In this day and age, would Richard have been able to stop Sandra, or would she have just killed Guano (if that is his real name) and walked off into the night?

Sorry Ground, that parachute won't protect you from Richard Dragon much longer.

The weirdest thing about this is that these two are still friends...as much as a killer for hire and a hermit can have friends.
