Oof. That face Kitty pulled. Ones like it are burned in my memory from one of my childhood comics. Did Sal Buscema do the art for the issue of Spider-Man where Harry doses Peter with a hallucinogenic gas pumpkin that causes him to see nightmarish version of those he's failed? And Peter is reminded that his parents are dead and the reaction is so severe it briefly snaps Harry out of his Green Goblin mindset, seeing his friend in such a state? I believe the subplot of that issue was Vermin escaping Ravencroft and hunting down his abusive father.

If Vermin was in it, it was probably one of the issues of Spectacular Spider-Man by J.M. DeMatteis and Sal Buscema.

Yes, it's here. "The Child Within", I think is what's it's called. Doesn't have all the parts I remember though. And for some reason some of the pages are upside down. Had to search under the Harry Osborn tag for a bit, but it's there.

Is it his " I am Dire Wraith and human, better than both " arrogance?

Is it that arrogance, compounded by his adolescence?

Whatever it is, it's consistent.)

I figured it's because he's one of a kind, and wants to create more. Propagate the new species, as it were.
