Amazing Spider-Man #103

Peter and Gwen accompany a Bugle expedition to the Savage Land.

I guess Jonah has never seen King Kong.

Peter agrees to be the expedition's photographer, while Gwen provides the cheesecake.

It seems out of character to have perfect little angel Gwen Stacy model for glamour pics. It seems more like something Mary Jane would do.

Does anybody know if that vaguely Japanese-looking text actually means something or is it just nonsense?
