Maybe not directly comics-related, but I posted scans of a Predator comic only a few days ago, so I reckon it counts. This movie looks pretty fun to me, so far!
Ah, you MUST watch Prey! Barring one irksome line, it's the perfect way to make a prequel, introducing interesting new characters without being super-slavish to aping the original.
Presumably, they are building to an inevitable AVP, but hopefully it's not as crap as the first two. Given the recent high quality of both Alien and Predator output, I'm not as averse to the concept as I once may have been!
Arnie's time has passed. I could have seen a sequel to the original with him locked up in some secret military facility since he Knows Too Much, but at this point it would be pointless nostalgia. As if he was the star of Predator! ;P
Funny how both the Alien and Predator franchise are focusing now on feisty female robot protagonists. Considering the celebrated history of robots and/or cyborgs as an analogy for the trans experience, it is a fascinating possibility that - consciously or not - creators are maybe looking to explore trans-related issues more widely.
