That'd be my guess, anyway. Luckily, as a kid, I saw other Batman movies before that abomination. (Which scarred my brain so badly that I totally forgot everything about it by the time Nostalgia Critic reviewed it.)
Ha, I would've been 12 when I saw it in theatres, but yeah, I also remember thinking it was good at the time.
But then, it was colourful and campy and fun it its own way, even if it is also pretty horrible. Especially in retrospect, knowing that it can all be so, so much better.
Believe it or not, that movie was what got me into the Bat-fandom, it's a long story which I don't mind sharing but basically if it weren't for a horrible, universally hated movie, I wouldn't even be here today.

Actually Batman & Robin was after Kindergarten. At that point I liked Batman and was ashamed of that movie (me being 8 at the time).
That was such an awful film.
I think the Timm-verse Batman stuff really turned it around for me.
