Casstoon regarding Barbara possibly returning to the Batgirl role

On a similar subject, Newsarama are currently running a poll asking who people would like the next Batgirl to be. Currently Cass is in the lead with nearly 400 votes more votes than Barbara, with Steph only a few dozen votes behind her.

Which I think is kind of neat. ^^

Well, fine, but you know what I mean. She was Batgirl for over two decades, anyway - that's a fair chunk of time.

True, but I think it's important to note that she's been Oracle for almost as long.

My point, though, was that the previous Batgirl was around for a long time before she gave up the title, and we got a lot of classic stories out of her before she became Oracle (and afterwards, of course, but that's a different discussion). The current Batgirl has the potential to stick around for just as long or longer, and it's supremely pointless to boot her out just when she's getting established.
