It makes a little bit of sense.

The decadence of the World of Tomorrow that OMAC protects was always one step away from the breaking point, and was already in the midst of a collapse of a sort. I kinda get the feeling that Brother Eye could only OMAC-ize a select sort of person, but there weren't many issues of Kirby's OMAC, so maybe that was intended to change or expand, but think about it: it's call the One Man Army Corps, why would you need more than One Man for the Army Corps? Anyway, after OMAC is unable to continue to operate as OMAC, the Great Disaster occurs, and then things just spiral until cortexin is invented.

And then Kamandi comes around.

I agree that they don't need to be related by blood, but whatever. You can make it work without much trouble.

I don't have any particular problem with the concept, but I do think this could have been done with a bit more subtlety. I mean, Kamandi getting his ancestor's powers is one thing, but his HAIRSTYLE? I refuse to believe that getting genetically regressed would give you a mohawk. Also, I'm pretty sure that the eye in OMAC's chest was just part of his costume - I don't think it was supposed to be an actual, physical eye.

i duuno if your meaning to reply to my comment. Yes,Omac had the mohawk given him by brother eye. The chest thing was all costume. The eye shown is from the Starlin version NOT the Kirby. :)
