A Spiderman Musical!?

According to Vogue, Spidey's getting a Broadway rock musical featuring songs from several sources, including Bono.

Due to come out in January (late due to safety delays), the musical apparently cost $60 million, the most expensive musical to date and is directed by Julie Taymor, who is famous for her "Lion King" Broadway show (I saw it, it's awesome). It's got Carnage, it's got Green Goblin (played by Patrick Page), and it's got a new supervillain from "drawn from Greek mythology." Here's a video of the photoshoot with Annie Lebowitz featuring Page as the Green Goblin, nineteen-year-old Jennifer Damiano as MJ, and a "rock n' roller" named Reeve Carney.


I honestly don't know how I feel about this. Are they just pushing popularity for the movie? For the comics? How can they have three mediums, two out of the three pushing MJ and one so obviously not? Required comic post from "Shortpacked!":
