What are you dressed as?

It's hallowe'en, so lots of dressing up and cosplay etc. However, I'd much rather just post some of Ex Machina Special #3

You'll note the date, and of course remember that Monday October 19, 1999 was when Mitchell had his accident.

I need to reread this book. I've forgotten how good it was.

This post sent me scurrying off to my bookshelves to find the rest of this story. I then sat there and re-read about three trades in a row. Curse you and your Great Machine skills :D

So a bandaged man goes buy medicine, and the lady behind the counter thinks he's dressing up?

He had the misfortune of doing it Halloween night. She might have been seeing people come in all night in costume. But yeah, if you're working a pharmacy counter, you wouldn't think that anybody in bandages wasn't actually hurt.

Oh I dunno. It's the medicine counter at a random Duane Reade/Walgreens. How many heavily bandaged people with serious injuries casually stroll in there? Most people go there to pick up like herpes or cold medicine.
