I wouldn't worry too much. I'd say that there is roughly a 99% chance that it is a cunning plan, as cunning as a fox who's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University. Kid Loki can give John Constantine a run for his money when it comes to cunning plans that leaves his enemies completey decimated (of course he has similar issues with collateral damage as well).

Wow....I would actually be ok with this either way....who knew? What an amazing writer.

Motto. If Loki's back to being a villain, well, he's a much BETTER villain now, as he has more legitimate reasons for being one. If not, it's a hell of a play. either way, it's awesome.

Bringing Loki back sans powers seems to have made him more dangerous.

Even more so since there is no guarantee that he's good or evil, unlike his past self. He's just Loki.

i think that's what makes him so much more interesting now. he IS just Loki now. Not pegged as the Evil god. he is straight up trickster.

Damn, I do love this. It's just so sneaky and clever and fun. Even with the maybe-evil thing. (Though I'm pretty sure it's all just a trick). In the back of my mind, I was aware that I should maybe have been all frowny-faced at the end, with Loki letting Thor fall into the molten hot lava and what not, but actually I just laughed. And there was something so perfect about Loki (maybe) stabbing Thor in the back via a slapstick gag. (When I read it, my brain conjured up a "yoink!" sound and everything.)
