Assassin's Creed: Rogue/III fan-comics, by Liu Yan

When Shay met Kenway; or rather, how Connor found out about Mr. Cormac's existence.

Some context for those who don't really know about the series - Assassin's Creed is a popular video game franchise focusing on a secret war waged across history between two factions from the Third Crusade - the titular Assassins, who fight against tyranny and for the right of freedom for all sentient beings, and the Templars, who seek to take complete control of the World and her inhabitants so that they may end discord and chaos among mankind for good. Assassin's Creed III and Rogue, specifically, take place during the Colonial period of America (the latter is set against the Seven Years War while the former takes place before, during and after the American Revolution). Assassin's Creed: Rogue focuses on Shay, a rogue Assassin turned Templar who elimates the Assassin Brotherhood's influence from the Colonies and dismantles their organisation, while Assassin's Creed III is about the life of a Mohawk man called Connor who rebuilds the Brotherhood from the ground up. Rogue came out after III, so Shay never appeared nor was he mentioned until the former was made.
Shay burns the journals of Haytham so no one will discover their collaborations with each other.
Achilles tells Connor about Shay, and his betrayal of the Brotherhood.
Connor rescues people from a blaze in The Fighting Cocks Tavern
Connor reminisces on his life and times

Once again, these were made by the talented Liu Yan, or sunsetagain. You can find more of her works on her DeviantArt and tumblr pages.

Very nice stuff.
Good explanation for explaining Shay's retconed in nature.
(Except Haytham swearing. He's far to imperturbable for that. But that's a minor quibble)

I don't really understand the story because I'm not familiar at all with AC, but the art is fantastic.
