I don't know. Its an interesting question. I remember a lot of occasions when she invoked her Cheyenne heritage, and a few when she called herself Valkyrie. But I can't remember her ever referring to herself as American or speaking of that as her heritage. Maybe I just missed it.
Which might mean nothing, I suppose. But as a Native American she belongs to one of the few American subgroups that did not become American by choice. And they do call themselves the Cheyenne Nation I think.
