Someone wake me up when this whole "look at us, we're darkity dark dark dark, grim and gritty villains always win because that's more realistic" thing is over.

It was dull in the 90s, now... they can market it as a cure for insomnia.

Yeah--some of the guys there at Marvel can do gritty pretty well, like Brubaker's Cap and Bendis when he's doing crime stories, but Dark Reign's definately not an example of "good grit."

Yeah because the villains sure are kicking ass in Marvel ! It's not like The Punisher is killing villains left and right in his series, Nick Fury is destroying Hydra, The Dark Avengers are falling apart, Emma is clearly going to double cross Norman, The Thunderbolts are being taken down from within and Norman himself is going crzy under the strain !
