About the story, how exactly does the time warping work? I assumed the whole "one day outside, years inside" thing would mean that the people inside grow old. Diana of course doesn't, and I assumed that other guy was a demigid or something too, but I figured Bruce would come out ten years older.

But it says there "year 19." No way in hell is DC making Batman 50+ years old.

Depends. Some places are "timeless". Events still happen in sequence but age and decay are not a thing. I don't think there is any foundation in physics for that, but ya know, magic.

You know what I really love about this? Depictions of Wonder Woman and Batman being good friends.

Like outside of the brief and cut short romance in Morrison's Justice League Wonder Woman and Batman are usually depicted as Clark's friends but not really friends with each other. Or at least not really close friends with each other.

I feel like the Trinity concept only works if everyone is friends with each other independently.

But that's sort of everyone, though. In this comic. Everyone in this comic tends to talk like that. In clipped sentences. Clipped sentences that repeat things.

The ending of this was pretty hollow to me after TWoJaR. Bruce, Selina was perfectly okay with knowing you almost put a knife through Riddler's face. I think she'd be more than understanding that you almost kissed one of the most beautiful women in your universe after fighting by her side for a decade.

What bothers me is that there is no way in hell King is going to write Bruce as if he hasn't seen any of his loved ones in decades.

Hell, Selina might have almost kissed her. they are both cannonically bisexual... and hell. I am GAY and even I might want to kiss wonder woman if she'd let me!

That always bothers me in these "Years pass in the space of seconds real time" like here, and that "Ten year honeymoon in the future with Scott and Jean". You SHOULD change a lot in ten years, especially when away from your loved ones.

Say what you want about Tom King, that's one classy way to respond to feedback. Yeah, it may not be honest and I don't think critics are obligated to only be super nice and never raise objections to any criticism, but after the ridiculous melodramatic whining I've seen from other creators, this is so refreshing.

Well, yeah. But that doesn't make him conflating attempted murder and attempted smooch any less weird. Especially when they happen in that order.

Oh, I read it differently. It seemed to me that there’s an elision and they did actually kiss, and more - and Bruce was very, very good. :D
