This is actually a legit concern considering their world and and the kind of things Lois gets up to.

I swear, I remember a team-up cover way back in the 70's with Rock & Supes. Dunno if it was World's Finest or Brave & the Bold...

It's from the 80s, in DC Comics Presents #10. A bit less cheerful than this, as Clark ends up amnesiac as a member of Easy, but his instinctive code vs. killing makes the rest of the unit think he's something of a coward.
