I have to say, I do like the range of abilities this team has, all quite powerful, but not TOO powerful (Madison Jefferies PLUS Box being perhaps the exception)) and not TOO experienced, so you can feel that they are working quite hard to get their victories. That's always satisfying.

And I know they probably meant well, but I do wish they hadn't thrown the term autistic about as casually as they did.

I never followed Alpha Flight after Byrne left, really, so this has been pretty interesting to see. It's a bit scattered and busy (and a few elements have not aged well), but there's a lot to like here. There an interesting bunch of characters with some interesting abilities that don't feel like a downmarket Avengers or bargain basement X-men. Mantlo could sometimes be a bit on the nose, but he had some actual fun wittt he stuff he was doing.
