Preview images of Chaos War #1, the climax of Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente's whole Hercules/Cho saga.

The whole Incredible Hercules run has had a variety of artists, but for this we have the return of Khoi Pham, which is kind of fitting, since he did the first arc. And the previews of his art in this look really good.

And now we have a lettered preview of issue #1. Shit's goin' down!

Looks like Mageddon's back...no, no...Gettin' while Mageddon's good...Gettin' while Magedon's god...no, that's not funny. I'm just going to say it bluntly: any cosmic event that doesn't involve Star-Lord just isn't that cosmic in my book.

They can either meet up with or pick up Star-Lord and the rest of the GotG on the way out from Earth, surely. Assuming they survived the Thanos Imperative.

Steve's getting a lot of flying done recently.

Deep down, he is going 'WEEEEEEEEEEE' as all these heroes let him fly.

Seems that Herc is not one to waste time. Cosmic threat? Get everyone, EVERYONE, now.

Pft, he's Hercules. Fuck waffling around. Shit needs to get done! LET'S GO DO SOME SHIT!

I like how he just has the godly cajones to say, "you call yourselves heroes?" to the assembled Marvel U.

It's like, Cap/Spidey/Thor would just blink at him and say, "uh, yeah; we DO call ourselves heroes. 'Cuz we've earned it... MANY times over."

Or just "No. That's what other people call us."

Still don't care for how Herc looks like he's covered with cat hair (never seen chest hair that looks quite like that, honestly), but otherwise there's a whole lotta awesome goin' on here.

I was on the fence about this, but damnit, i'm sold! Gimme some Epic Herc and Company!

In that one panel of Herc's glowing eyes and him touching his forehead it looks like he has one hell of a migraine going on.

Well the guy was just pulled from a totally mundane parallel universe with no superheroes or gods, and given an omnipotence smoothy (combining all the power of the GrecoRoman, Egyptian, Norse, and Hidu pantheons)... yeah that has to have a hell of a hangover.

And why are Spidey, Black Panther II? III? and others flying upside down?

Perspective... I think they're all flying straight up, we're just oriented right above Herc.

If I could suddenly fly I think I'd tend towards Amadeus's posture, except I'd fly a little bit perpindicular so my neck wouldn't get tired from looking up all the time. But you'd want to lean forward a little bit, so you look cool, and maybe point your toes and throw one arm up over your head when you want to make an impression.

... I think parts of me just imploded from the awesome.
