I admit I don't remember the timeline Sins Past presented, but Marvel.com says Gwen and Peter were together at the time.

I'm not trying to slut-shame Gwen here, merely pointing out she hadn't been completely forthright either.

She was going to right before she died. And even if she wasn't her discretions aren't up to par with accidentally killing her father while acting as a vigilante.
