These are a few pages from the Gwen Stacy story from the first issue of 'The Clone Conspiracy'.
'Gwen' wakes up in the Jackal's lab. He tells her about his plans for bringing people back to life but she I said unsure until he takes her to see a familiar face.
It's not so much that Peter lied, it's that he is the person she thinks killed her father. (Which he technically did as its his fault Doc Ock lost control over his tentacles and knocked over the debris.)
wasnt in kurt busiek and alex ross Marvels, when Phil Sheldon interviewed her, she realized that spidey wasnt at fault for her father death, this happened on the same day she was kidnapped.
Nothing yet although I was under the impression that everything still happened in terms of continuity aside from the very end of the prelude where everyone died.
She was going to right before she died. And even if she wasn't her discretions aren't up to par with accidentally killing her father while acting as a vigilante.
As for their relationship this article is pretty exhaustive.
Okay, we KNEW they couldn't do this story without including a Gwen Clone somewhere. My question no is... wasn't there some other Gwen Clone running around somewhere that survived the Clone Saga?
You know, all things considered, I could easily stand to never see another retread of the "Jackal clones Gwen Stacy" plotline.
It feels like the Jackal's main move at this point, and the simple truth of Gwen Stacy is that she's dull as dishwater. Especially when she's appearing the role of Spidey's great, perfect, unblemished, long lost love, cruelly ripped from him by an unjust world.

I'm not trying to slut-shame Gwen here, merely pointing out she hadn't been completely forthright either.

Date: 2016-11-10 06:53 am (UTC)At Marvel, as I recall, there were two untouchables when it came to undoing deaths: Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy.
That said, where does cloning fall into this? I'm sure that along the lines, some resurrections have been through cloning, have they not?
So would a clone of either of those two be a violation of the whole "never bring those two back" rule?
