Well, really, they both lose. It's not as though Diana ever actually gets him to go home and leave it alone any more than he actually brings Dani to Western justice.

I have three Wonder Woman trades and the common thread is that she kicks the snot out of Batman in all of them.

As much as I enjoyed BN, I thought...

...this was the most hilarious thing I've read all week. There were a few head-scratchers in there, weren't there?

They just fought over someone under Wonder Woman's protection, someone who had established a sacred bond of protection with Wonder Woman that to violate said bond would incur the wrath of the Furies, someone who committed a horrible murder in Gotham and who had Batman was pursuing to bring her back for capital murder trial.

And as we know, Batman gives passes.

Just made me think right now. Did Bruce KNOW the ritual for the Hiketeia in case he ever had to fight Diana or Hippolyta, or did he know it for that special evening of sexy time?

Wonder Woman wearing the Sapphire Ring was debatable enough, but the outfit and the given reason for getting it were just stupid. I enjoyed Blackest Night, but this was one of its most stand-out flaws: it was clear they shoved the ring on her because she is female.

They shoved the ring on her because someone wanted to see Diana in that outfit.

I bought the "She loves the earth more then anyone" argument. Really it made more sense then compassion which everyone seemed to be pushing for.

I will admit while the Batman thing was completely left field, if people here can push their crazy ass ships so can I when it gets canonical.

I still maintain that Earth's Sapphire should have been Kyle Rayner. With the continuity-time-compression the guy's been through, what, four True Loves in a couple of years?

As implied in a Greg Rucka post, I'm for a Bruce/Diana pairing. If not them, then Bruce and Zatanna. Bruce/Selina will always have a place but..after I found out that baby Helena wasn't Bruce's..yeaa..I gave up on that idea...fucking DC. Eh at least they didn't pull a One More Day..then again.. OMD is better than fucking killing Lian..dicks.

Anyway back on subject.. that is fucking funny!

I have decided that the reason why Bruce mattered in this, is because they didn't actually date. They decided it wasn't worth it and gave up without trying. Not something she normally does, but it did start a trend for a while.
