So watching the BSG prequil "Caprica" many people have compared it to Fritz Langs " Metropolis" , But I see alot of Omac in it. A hedonistic society in the final stages of driving right off a cliff....
OMAC #1 is cover-dated October but appeared on the stands in June of 1974. An awesome site where you can look up this sort of info for any and every DC comic is here:

One thing I particularly love on this site is seeing at a glance what DC titles would have been on the stands at the same time, for instance this page showing other titles you'd have seen next to the first issue of OMAC:
The image was repeated in "final crisis" but with Omac robots ( not the Batman ones but the original Kirby look). I also see in previews they are bringing back the Universal Peace agents.
I was only slightly disappointed that the Destruct Room didn't work like Futurama's Suicide Booths. "No wait, don't go in there, try the Crying Room first! Jaye Davidson is dressed like Ra today!"

What year is this from, do you know? It's mildly piqued my interest, but somehow I can't quite tell if this is 60's or 70's.
